TwitterHDMI Licensing announced the introduction of the HDMI specification version 1.4a, with significant enhancements for 3D applications, including the mandatory addition of 3D formats for broadcast content, and the addition of the 3-D format known as above and below. 3D formats are supported, including Compulsory 1080p@23.98 / 24 Hz for film content, 720p at 50 or 59.94/60Hz for game content, 1080i @ 50 or 59.94/60Hz for Side-by-side horizontally broadcast content, and 1080p @ 23.97 / 24Hz to Top – and the valley.
