Acer introduces new Aspire 5942 and Aspire 8942 notebook PCs, both of 2010 powered by Intel Core i7, i3 and i5 processors and up to 8 GB of DDR3 RAM. This 18.4-inch Aspire 8942 will be dedicated graphics memory to ATI Mobility Radeon HD5850 with 1GB video RAM, while the Aspire 5942 sports to 1GB Radeon HD5650 GPU.
The Aspire notebooks has 640 GB hard drive, a DVD SuperMulti burner or Blu-ray drive and a multi-in-one card reader. They have Dolby surround sound system optimized with Acer Tuba CineBass Optimized Booster 3rd Generation Dolby Home Theater audio enhancement and True 5.1-channel sound. The 5942 has a built-in stereo speakers and the 8942 has five speakers.
The 18.4-inch screen, the Aspire 8942 offers full HD resolution of 1920 × 1080 and Aspire 5942, the 15.6-inch display offers 1366 x 768 resolution. Both notebooks support Bluetooth, WiFi and WiMAX optional and has an HDMI output, an ExpressCard/54 slot, one eSATA port, a Crystal Eye webcam, Acer Bio-Protection fingerprint reader and an optional DVB-T tuner.
