IO Data announced in Japan its new BRP nl6, a slim 6X Blu-ray Disc burner. The slim external DVD burner is designed for use with the ideal notebook / netbook on-the-go. It has USB 2.0 interface. IO-DATA BRP nl6 features 6X burn BD-R SL 4x for BD-R DL, 2x for BD-RE and 6x for BD-ROM read. It also burns DVD + /-R at up to 8x, DVD + RW at 8x, DVD-RW at 6x, DVD-RAM at 5X and dual-layer DVD + /-R at 4x. CD-R/RW are also supported..,,.,,K

The IO-DATA BRP nl6 on drive based Sony. It measures 137 (W) X154 (D) x20 (H) mm and weighs 330g. The USB Blu-ray burners will be released in mid December 2009 for 29,600 yen.
