TwitterSony Ericsson has a new entry-level mobile phone, the Sony Ericsson 715, 3G connectivity, a 2.2-inch 240 x 320 LCD screen and a 3.2-megapixel camera. The handset differs from the usual run-of-the-mill consumer device by using Exchange ActiveSync support for normal chat, MMS and SMS messages, but also loaded with Google Maps.
The T715 is an A-GPS is used for travel and for geotagging photos. Sony Ericsson has a YouTube viewer and NetFront browser, which benefit from the handset Quadband GSM / GPRS / EDGE and HSPA (a 2100MHz UMTS 850/1900/2100MHz and UMTS model T715a be published). Internal memory is 90 MB, plus a microSD card and the whole thing weighs 96.5g and measures 91.5 x 48 x 14.9mm.
GSMHelpdesk.nl had an opportunity for practical experience with the T715, and you will see some of their photos in the gallery below. The images seem to confirm that reasonable Chunky device, but they are praised feature set, and media functionality.
The Sony Ericsson T715 will be on sale in the 3rd Quarter of 2009, the price to be announced. There is also a new Bluetooth headset, VH310, which weighs 10g and offers up to 500hrs standby and 11hrs talk time. Again, no pricing details have been released.
