For use on IBM mainframe-Z-series, the z196 a CISC chip with 1.4 billion transistors on 512 mm square chips on 45 nm SOI technology, the PD, a 64-Kbyte level-1-cache command, a 128-Kbyte L1 data cache, a 1.5-Mbyte L2 cache per core private use and a couple of co-processor for cryptographic operations.
