Texas Instruments DLP Cinema Enhanced 4K Chip Ships

Asus launches the 90-XB1300DR00010 Extreme Slim External DVD burner with an ultra thin and compact, light square form factor that measures just 14mm thick. The drive works with USB 2.0 interface and has a 1MB cache. It writes DVD + /-R 8x, DVD + /-R DL at 6x, DVD + RW at 8x, DVD-RW at 6x, DVD-RAM at 5x, and CD-R/RW at up to 23x.

IBM z196 5.2GHz fastest CPU Microprocessor

IBM gives us more details of the z196 processor 5.2GHz, which is the fastest ever. For use on IBM mainframe-Z-series, the z196 a CISC chip with 1.4 billion transistors on 512 mm square chips on 45 nm SOI technology, the PD, a 64-Kbyte level-1-cache command, a 128-Kbyte L1 data cache, a 1.5-Mbyte L2 cache per core private use and a couple of co-processor for cryptographic operations.
