These camcorders are nearly identical, except that the former uses Memory Stick PRO Duo Mark 2 or SD card for storage, while the latter comes with built-in 80 GB hard disk.

Canon has announced the world’s largest CMOS image sensor developed with 202 × 205 chip size. With enlargement, the new CMOS sensor to collect more light, resulting in low light conditions. According to Canon, the new sensor to improve images in one hundredth of the amount of light by a professional model-35mm full-frame DSLR camera because of their size, so that intensity of skills needed.

Besides the GC-WP10 waterproof, JVC also release non-waterproof PICSIO GC-FM2 Full HD pocket camcorder. The FM2 offers many of the features found on the WP10, and adds a built-in USB port. The GC-FM2 records Full HD 1920×1080p 30fps video in MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 format, and 5-megapixel photos imges.

JVC expands its PCISIO line the all-new GC-WP10 pocket camcorder that is IPX8 certified for waterproof up to 10 meters. The new WP10 can record 1920 × 1080 Full HD video and 5 megapixel photos. It has a built-in digital image stabilizer, 4x digital zoom, motion-REC and Face Detection functions.
